The teaser for Kim Petras' collaboration with Nicki Minaj, titled "Alone," offers an exciting glimpse into the upcoming release. In the video, Kim Petras answers the phone and lip-syncs over Nicki Minaj's voice, with Minaj pronouncing, "Yeah! It’s Barbie and it’s Kim Petras!" This is set against a sample of Alice Deejay’s 1998 club classic "Better Off Alone." The teaser also features Kim Petras delivering her signature "Woo-ah!"

"Alone" is set to be Nicki Minaj's latest release, following a series of singles, including the 2022 Max Martin-produced "If Jesus Was a Rockstar" and 2023’s “Brr.” The latter was performed by Kim Petras at the Billboard Women in Music event in March, where she also received the Chartbreaker Award and delivered a powerful speech advocating for bodily autonomy and "true equality" for women. Fans can anticipate the release of "Alone" as a noteworthy addition to the artists' recent works.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard ahead of a ceremony, Kim Petras shared the profound impact women in pop music had on her during high school. She revealed that they were her "only friends" and served as sources of inspiration. Petras expressed that these women were everything she aspired to be, providing the strength she needed to undergo her transition and live authentically. Their influence empowered her to embrace herself.

Adding to her recent successes, Kim Petras celebrated a significant milestone as her collaboration with Sam Smith, titled "Unholy," surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. This achievement came just months after the trans singer earned her first Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The accomplishment reflects both the popularity and critical acclaim surrounding her work in the music industry.
